The 2008-2009 season has begun with Manchester United introducing a number of young faces to its first team squad. Notable promotions from the Reserves include the Brazilian twins, Rafael and Fabio Da Silva (at right back and left back respectively), midfielders Rodrigo Possabon and Darron Gibson, and strikers Fraizer Campbell (now on-loan at Spurs as part of the Berbatov deal) and Danny Welbeck. I'm also excited at the prospect of seeing Angolan striker Manucho in action! For the early part of the season Utd fans have not seen Cristiano Ronaldo, Owen Hargreaves, Park Ji-Sung, or Ben Foster, while a further six fringe players are away on loan to other clubs.

Hopefully Dimitar Berbatov will do a great job of filling the number 9 shirt, as he replaces Louis Saha who has moved to Everton.
